The exam controller of Sargodha University is responsible for conducting all examinations at Sargodha University, affiliated colleges as well as external candidates. The Controller is also responsible for all the aspects related to the examination system of Sargodha University including enrolment, examination, re-examination, results declaration, etc. The Controller also conducts ex-cathedra tests such as MPhil/Ph.D. degree tests, research projects, etc. at regular intervals of time such as yearly or quarterly basis. The Controller also monitors the progress of students who have appeared in exams on behalf of the university during their studies or after completion of their studies through regular follow up visits at their hostels or places where they are studying abroad etc. The exam controller receives complaints regarding malpractices in the examination system from various quarters including students, parents/guardians, officials/employees, etc. He takes immediate action to redress the grievances of the affected parties. He also attends to complaints regarding preparations of examinations and declaration of results of various exams.

Department of Education
The Department of Education (DE) was established in the year 1973. The Department of Education has been re-organized since the year 2000 with the objective of promoting quality teaching and learning in higher education. The DE is headed by a Director-General assisted by a Deputy Director-General, two Assistant Directors, and nine Deputy Directors.
UOS Examination Department
The UOS Examination Department is responsible for conducting all examinations and awards of degrees, diplomas, certificates, and other academic awards. It also maintains a system to keep track of all examination results and academic activities conducted by the university. It also conducts student counseling on a regular basis so that students can choose the courses they require. The department has two sections:

The Registrar is responsible for maintaining all records and documents relating to Sargodha University’s academic affairs including student enrolment, admission

The Registrar also maintains an up-to-date information system (systems) under his control to keep track of all academic data on students.
